The Hyperloop transport system is expected to be launched in Ukraine in 2023-2025.
“The world’s first commercial Hyperloop will be running in Abu Dhabi by 2020. The optimistic scenario for Ukraine is 2023-2025. We want to link the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea. We see the great potential in this direction,” Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan said in an interview with Obozrevatel.
The Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, with which the agreement was signed, sees payback in 12 years, Omelyan noted.
Elon Musk proposed the idea of a high-speed transport system in 2012. In August 2013, the cost of the project was estimated at $6-7.5 billion. Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) and Hyperloop One are engaged in its development.
