India unlikely to have hyperloop trains in near future: NITI member Dr. VK Saraswat

India is unlikely to go in for hyperloop technology for ultra high-speed trains in the near future as the technology is at a 'very low level' of maturity and may not be economically viable at the current juncture, NITI Aayog Member Dr. VK Saraswat said.

Twists, turns, bridges, tunnels could complicate Western Pa. Hyperloop

Tunneling and bridging bring additional costs to a project that, in Ohio, will mostly consist of standard, flat rails built across the region. When dealing with hyperloop speeds, that path also has to be as straight as can be, which could prevent the rail from winding through Appalachian terrain to reach its destination.

Virgin Hyperloop One moving forward in India, Dubai, and Saudi: co-founder

During his visit, His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, unveiled the Vision 2030 Hyperloop Pod with Virgin Hyperloop One. Hyperloop One has discussed a number of potential routes with the Saudi government, says chief technology officer.
